Voice scrolling matches what you say against your script, and it needs a model for the language you’re speaking. One is included; the rest download on demand.
Open Voice Languages
Settings → Teleprompter Settings → Voice control options → Voice Languages.
If you already have a script open, the same option is in the teleprompter’s settings: tap the gear icon.
The screen that opens is titled Voice Packs and lists every available language with its download size.
Each pack shows its state: Installed, or a Download button.
Download the one you need
Tapping Download shows the size in MB and asks to confirm, because packs run from about 35 MB to over 200 MB and you may be on mobile data.
Downloads show progress; keep the app open until they finish. Once a pack is installed it stays on the device.
Match the pack to the script, not to yourself
VoiceCue picks the pack from the language the script is written in, not your first language, and offers to download it when you press play. If you’ve changed the voice language from Auto to a fixed language, it has to match the script or tracking won’t work.
Why offline matters here
Everything runs on the device: faster, more accurate for this job, and nothing leaves the phone.
It also means voice scrolling works with no signal at all, once the pack is installed.
If a language isn’t listed
Recognition models don’t exist for every language, and VoiceCue can only offer the ones that do. Where there’s no pack, fixed-speed scrolling still works normally.
