Your First Script

Create a script, open it in the teleprompter, and make the text comfortable to read.

You can run through the whole VoiceCue workflow without creating an account. Use the instructions for your device where the controls differ.

Create a script

On Android

Tap New Script on the Home tab. Choose Create for a blank script, Import to bring one in from a file or URL, or Create with AI (a Pro feature) to start from a generated draft.

Type or paste your text, give it a title, then tap Save.

Open the teleprompter

On Android

Open the script and choose a mode:

  • Teleprompter Only for scrolling text without recording
  • Video to record through the camera
  • Audio Only to record your voice without video

Start with Teleprompter Only while you get the display comfortable.

Make the text readable

Increase the text size until you see roughly 5 to 7 words per line. It may look unusually large on the screen, but short lines reduce the sideways eye movement that makes a presenter look as though they are reading.

If the lines are still long, narrow the text margins as well.

  • Mobile: tap the Settings (gear) button in the teleprompter, then use Appearance for text size and Player options for margins.

Run it once

Read the script through without recording. Check that the text is comfortable at your real recording distance and that the pace feels natural.

Fix the text size and pace now. They are much easier to judge during a practice run than halfway through a take.

What to do next

Voice-activated scrolling removes the fixed-speed setting by following your speaking pace. Or fine-tune text size, font and margins before you record.
